We won the bid. <div><br></div><div>After getting things set up and getting the contract agreed upon ams signed, I decided I needed to get ahold of somenone to help me do this contract. I met a guy when I was doing work on another site a few weeks ago. He was looking for work to make money to do some repairs on his home. I talked with him while I was taking a cigarette break and found out that he was pretty interesting amd just down on his luck at the moment. After I locked in this contract yesterday, I went back to the town he lives in and asked him if he was serious about needing work. He told me yes and asked if I needed him right now, I told him no and that ot would be in the next couple weeks and that most likely would be after this cold we are are supposed to get next week. Its all outside painting and needs to be at least 40° in order for it to set correctly. So after next week will be the best bet. </div><div>Anyways, as always God likes to put me into situations to give people a hand up instead of hand outs but hasnt been in a while. </div><div>Have a great day and thanks for reading <b>~W</b></div>Whysprshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08213990082521840661noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3116178834530380293.post-1627877301391836272024-02-07T09:00:00.000-06:002024-02-07T09:00:00.148-06:00Making bidsThis past few days has been making me kinda crazy. Luckily I already had some posts rolling around in my head the past few days to get written and post. I have however noticed that my viewership first spiked when I first had started telling the stories from my past and now is down. So not so sure what happened there.<div><br></div><div>Back to this post, I got a call to do a bid on a painting project and at first didn’t think anything of it. After doing my calculations from all of the measuring, it just shows that little things add up to big numbers.</div><div><br></div><div>I’ve also been running numbers on getting an estimate done for another job to do another water line repair. This one has been an ongoing issue in the past because they only want it done for as cheap as possible, which never ends well. This was the same customer that I had talked about in a previous post. But if he will pay for me to do it right this time, then he should be good.</div><div><br></div><div>Anyways, from how things are looking at the moment and if things pan out, 2024 is starting out good so far. The majority of the people I grew up with in early grade school before I moved into the country are still my friends, crazy side is that some dont exactly remember me other than my face. Some of this was due to thier drug use in earlier years or rather thats what several of them have told me.</div><div><br></div><div>The reason I have started talking about this is because of conversations during the trip back from moms dr appointment today and after we got back, about some things during highschool and even grade school. You see, Sandi and I did attend the same highschool together. Well, we did but, we didn’t know each other so much as we knew some of the same people. Some of these where people I went to grade school with and some wasn’t. Either way, im kinda getting off point. So here’s todays story.</div><div><br></div><div>Even as young as in 1st grade, I had a standard that I lived by that you didn’t pick on the smaller kids or the ones that couldnt defend themselves. Here it was first grade, I don’t remember who all was involved except for 2 or 3 of them but I can still see all of thier faces like they are burned into my memories. For some reason there was an interruption for the teacher to be out of classroom an another for one of the boys that was getting picked on quite often to get shoved into a dark closet by 4 other boys. Needless to say, I stood up to those 4, pulling at them and trying to get to traped kid in the dark closet. I said some really bad words that day, just as the teacher walked into the room. She didnt see what exactly had happened, but did hear what I said and saw me tossing kids to the floor.</div><div><br></div><div>Yup, it was my first school paddling, I remember it all too well. Ms. Brown I think her name was, with the paddle made from pencils sandwiched between 2 rulers and held together with masking tape. I can still see it, and can still remember the 5 swats I got the first round. Why did I say first round you ask? Well, I was asked by one of my friends if it hurt and I said “No, not like it will when I get home”. She took me back into the hallway and not only gave me 5 more, but then sent me to the office for more from the Principal.</div><div><br></div><div>Luckily, the Principal was more fair and just. I grew to love the man as a mentor over the years and I am still friends and look up to him til this day.</div><div><br></div><div>This day that stands in my memory is one that stands out as the begining of my journey as the “bully to the bullies” which I did do for the majority of my life. I always tried to stand up for the unjust treatment of people that were being picked on for the most part and I still remember all of thier faces.. I don’t know all of thier names but thier faces remain the same even now.</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks for reading ~W</div><div><br></div><div>Check out our store at: <b><a href="http://Whysprs-whymseys.square.site">https://whysprs-whymseys.square.site</a></b></div>Whysprshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08213990082521840661noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3116178834530380293.post-22187237985444193742024-02-05T13:07:00.000-06:002024-02-05T13:07:36.296-06:00The Life of a Shop Keep<div>Growing up, after moving to the place I ended up finishing out what would be my teenage years, we had a shop. It started out as a resale and commission type shop and a side for what would become a bait shop. Oh the memories of this place, from early spring to late fall and sometimes the beginning of winter, we even lived in the shop. You see it started out in a big pole barn about 60 ft by 120 ft (its just an estimate in size because I have never measured it). We sectioned off one entire side by length, it had a room that we used like a kitchen with a Coleman stove, a small refrigerator and ran water by hose to it. In the front on the one side we had a large minnow tank, a sales counter, a display cabinet with antiques, a snacks stand, refrigerator with other baits and soda. The other section had all the resale items such as clothing and odds and ends.</div><div><br></div><div>This place ended up becoming where I would spend most of my time from age 11 until I graduated highschool and moved out. We had another building that we moved the bait shop part into later on when I was in highschool but we didnt live in it. By the time I was in highschool, I had pretty much started running the entire store inside and out as well as doing all the paperwork for it. It was open 24 hours a day mostly and only closed when I could sneak off, which was usually on the evenings that it was slow or when it seemed there was no business. Most of the time I could predict what days this was going to be, I actually used the business as a project for one of my highschool classes to get extra credit.</div><div><br></div><div>Before my stepdad passed away, he had told me that he had been so hard on me about the business because, it was his legacy to me to run it and make sure I always had an income and he knew that none of his kids wanted anything to do with it. He wasnt wrong, his youngest son has told me that he cant even think about fishing because it makes him sick from running that store while in highschool. He didn’t really run anything to do with it other than picking up nightcrawlers to make extra money at night and didn’t do that very often either. I did though.. lol I was picking upwards of over 1000 per night and getting paid .02 cents per worm. That was $20 per night in just a matter of a couple hours.</div><div><br></div><div>I was also the one that would go with my stepdad and sein the back waters of the lake for crawl fish to sell and dip net or cast net for other bait fish to resell. I seem to remember only twice did my stepbrother take me to catch bait fish and both times he took his girlfriend with him and only once did he help but was only for a little while. When we could go for getting bait fish, we would fill about 10-15 totes to bring back and then I would help my stepdad process and portion them to be frozen as bait.</div><div><br></div><div>We also made our own lead weights, specialty bobbers, plugs and sometimes dough type baits to sell. It was just me and him doing that, and my step siblings didn’t help with that either. Yes, back then I was angry that I was the one that “had to participate” but I am not since growing up.</div><div><br></div><div>Over the years, I have often thought about reopening the bait shop again, but would probably be harder than it was back in the 80s. Its a new time and you can get bait at any gas station or supermarket around here now, so not so sure I could work that out.</div><div><br></div><div>Anyways, thanks for reading <b>~W</b></div><div><br></div><div>Check out our store at: <a href="http://Whysprs-whymseys.square.site">https://whysprs-whymseys.square.site</a></div>Whysprshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08213990082521840661noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3116178834530380293.post-41654015267313143952024-02-03T09:00:00.000-06:002024-02-03T09:00:00.281-06:00Roadblocks??I’ve mentioned a few times about the little town I was running around in my youth and here’s another story from then.<div><br></div><div>This little town had a tradition that went back to at least as far back as the 50s, I just know the man that lived next door to us used to tell me stories about it from his youth and he was at least 60 back in the 80s.</div><div><br></div><div>Anyways this tradition of crazy nonsense was called the Road Block. Basicly people around town would donate to us big items such as TV’s cabinets or anything big for us to use for blocking off the main road into town. This was a small country town and had one single main street that ran from the highway to the park. The last 2 weeks in the month of October was when the road block would be errected, usually in the evening and then would be moved to the sides of the road during the day for the entire duration.</div><div><br></div><div>Usually this was just something to occupy the teens of the town amd keep them out of real trouble and actually causing real trouble in the town. I can remember the first year that I participated and was before I became well known in the town. We had all kinds of items donated to our cause that year such as tractor tires, big cabinet TV’s, cabinet stereo systems, stoves, washing machines and driers. What I didn’t know at the time was that another part of this was the calling of law enforcement on ourselves to have a sheriff deputy chase us. I didnt make the calls but I did do a great deal of finding hiding spots when this would happen. The funny side is that there were people that would come out and sit in front of the General Store and let us know when the sheriff had been called and on the way. Other than doing that, these adults didn’t participate unless to tell us where to get more items for the road block.</div><div><br></div><div>Over the years we kept the flame going of this tradition but it is no longer upheld in that town. There have been talks of us as adults bringing back the tradition but other than that it has been lost to only memories.</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks for reading ~W</div><div><br></div><div>Check out our store at: <a href="https://whysprs-whymseys.square.site">https://whysprs-whymseys.square.site</a></div>Whysprshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08213990082521840661noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3116178834530380293.post-57361047189490168022024-02-02T09:00:00.000-06:002024-02-02T09:00:00.139-06:00Doing the Dishes<div>This story is a fairly short one, but it actually happened.</div><div><br></div><div>Me and my one friend, let’s call him J was down at the village and none of the normal friends were around, he was dating one of the girls and they always left thier doors unlocked. They were the kids and the mom was visiting family in another town while the dad was at work. J went on in and decided to do thier dishes, I went over to the store to shoot some pool (I will talk about this place in another story).</div><div><br></div><div>Anyways back to J, he was doing dished and decided he wanted to get out of there before they or the dad got home. Needless to say, he had never had nonstick pans and he apparently was working really hard to get this black stuff off thier brand new non stick pans. I found this out cause it became the talk about someone breaking in and ruining thier new pans.</div><div><br></div><div>He came from money and he bought them new pans after admitting to the “crime”, but it was pretty funny.</div><div><br></div><div>I was going to write a different story, but my internet is fairly bad with this rain we have been having. Anyways, thanks for reading. ~W</div><div><br></div><div>Check out our store at: <a href="https://whysprs-whymseys.square.site">https://whysprs-whymseys.square.site</a></div>Whysprshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08213990082521840661noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3116178834530380293.post-33070977607172356352024-02-01T16:04:00.001-06:002024-02-01T16:04:22.743-06:00Storytime?Im thinking about writing about past adventures, a glimpse if you will of the world of me.<div><br></div><div>I don’t know if anyone would be interested in these memories, of times that went wrong and adventures that went sideways at times. Some of it would be the same as when you grew up maybe, but it will be from a gen x type perspective of the trials of survival… err I mean life… It wont be in any certain order and I will change the names for legal reasons. So shall we start?</div><div><br></div><div>I grew up in a smallish town (less than 100k) had 3 siblings I grew up with but had 5 others that would visit from time to time. My dad worked for the city in different positions over the years and we didn’t really want for anything because those needs were taken care of. I can remember lots of vacations but those memories are some what clouded and mixed up because I was so young.</div><div><br></div><div>This first story was back in the mid to late 70s, 1977 or 78 I think. I would have to go digging through old photos to get the exact date and those are in storage. We had ventured out to the East Coast to visit with Dad’s brother and one of his old service buddies.</div><div><br></div><div>His friend had kids as well and there was this girl, she was between the age of me and my youngest brother who is 5 years older than me. Anyways, aparently me and this girl were inseparable during that visit, we went and played in the woods and there was this pond, it had a culvert type pipe sitting in it, and she talked me into getting over to it. Then jumped back out, she then told me “dont fall in the water, it will suck you down and you will never be seen again.” Well guess what I didnt do very easily? Yup, I was stuck. Looking back now and thinking about this, I think this girl must have been closer to my brothers age than me, its kind of the same meanness that he always did to me as well. Anyways, my brother came to the rescue, but was only so he didnt get into trouble. He was supposed be watching over us, and had decided to do his own thing.</div><div><br></div><div>Ive still got a photo of me and this girl but I could not tell you what her name is. During this vacation we also made it out to the ocean with the same family, I remember being on a pier, we did some crab fishing with traps that we had set out. On this pier was also a slide that went down and would drop you into the water, aparently it wasn’t deep water there, she talked me into going down the slide. I went down it, but I didnt come back up..my feet stuck in the sand and I was below the surface. The next thing I knew was my Dad pulling me out of the water and saving me.</div><div><br></div><div>I also remember going to Revolutionary War battle sites and museums that year, getting lost in the museum in Washington DC, seeing all the founding documents and getting copies of them, and standing under the liberty bell and actually touching it. It was a fairly memorable time but the memories arnt as vibrant as they were just a few years back. I was only about 4 or 5 back then.</div><div><br></div><div>Tomorrow, I will try and post another and bring you along, perhaps it will be one of the more recent memories… Thanks for reading, <b>~W</b></div><div><br></div><div>Check out our store at: <a href="http://Whysprs-whymseys.square.site">https://whysprs-whymseys.square.site</a></div><div><br></div>Whysprshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08213990082521840661noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3116178834530380293.post-85809006583400112362023-12-23T20:00:00.001-06:002023-12-23T20:00:18.185-06:00something that came upSomething that came up today was a discussion about a fily of 15 people living in a 3 bedroom house that was only 20 ft by 25 ft. I went into some detaul about this in my other blog and compared it to our micro house. The main reason I quit writing here was the fact that there has not been any feedback. Without feedback I tend to give up on writing and since no one wants ti leave a comment I havnt been posting. Just something to think about when you read people's blogs. Its not about money or popularity, its about having a comment that makes the writter to go on writing. Just saying. <b>~W</b>Whysprshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08213990082521840661noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3116178834530380293.post-14392119401930091882023-11-13T14:59:00.000-06:002023-11-13T14:59:07.865-06:00Just a few rings<p class="mobile-photo"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjYeBG72GmneUb29MS23vX7GDRyKGudZLc9NqnYO18U62sIpkgNw1f38oyB5abL9yux8TPnljW8TT8Y9splV2KG9VDyEyy1uktZCWEQHOFBsDAJytnBwlQ6MvIpiHnCh_7oZgeevCen9v6s1VHEvxoi5kLT77QxCtwiSNe9c5yEhaho0OeRlrVWmJ_CN5k"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjYeBG72GmneUb29MS23vX7GDRyKGudZLc9NqnYO18U62sIpkgNw1f38oyB5abL9yux8TPnljW8TT8Y9splV2KG9VDyEyy1uktZCWEQHOFBsDAJytnBwlQ6MvIpiHnCh_7oZgeevCen9v6s1VHEvxoi5kLT77QxCtwiSNe9c5yEhaho0OeRlrVWmJ_CN5k=s320" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_7301053029768579106" /></a></p><p class="mobile-photo"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEg3ZaP-jgRQQjeGR2nVmUWpisSjLfFw3LjXUzUb3ZFzRXVyX10LHiZLJY8Nr8w6uSJUEiZf7vgVZE7L5-h89jEMHNj7HLaVk_SqsMQ8-5p4F7dFPevArFVM6JlF-9erQSYJ8DNNjOriUbD1ya0sSojkWiyG2tW9jegfN1IxyFv6xmgZEfcthRhYdF5EejE"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEg3ZaP-jgRQQjeGR2nVmUWpisSjLfFw3LjXUzUb3ZFzRXVyX10LHiZLJY8Nr8w6uSJUEiZf7vgVZE7L5-h89jEMHNj7HLaVk_SqsMQ8-5p4F7dFPevArFVM6JlF-9erQSYJ8DNNjOriUbD1ya0sSojkWiyG2tW9jegfN1IxyFv6xmgZEfcthRhYdF5EejE=s320" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_7301053039763525922" /></a></p><p class="mobile-photo"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhMwT_jni0JLX3Mp5-UC3SpFcBWse14nBEcM1pCxwR8-sMvRoeP-r2dmoTba8Vn0PYqyTc7uVcrBY3cxiDeJy7w5i56MESjFKyyeYC7iFAtiCq4enGB3b8ZKYAUf3wAsNTKpW5UXB-1IebdiJxd75oo2ZhvNV7V49C9dk541Tvo1gFsrciVhk4Ng0dEBE8"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhMwT_jni0JLX3Mp5-UC3SpFcBWse14nBEcM1pCxwR8-sMvRoeP-r2dmoTba8Vn0PYqyTc7uVcrBY3cxiDeJy7w5i56MESjFKyyeYC7iFAtiCq4enGB3b8ZKYAUf3wAsNTKpW5UXB-1IebdiJxd75oo2ZhvNV7V49C9dk541Tvo1gFsrciVhk4Ng0dEBE8=s320" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_7301053047319771618" /></a></p><p class="mobile-photo"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhYCilFFOj9VxO9Ac8baSaqMWSD50aGBJrS7d-kvGoOIIGM2grmhx4xKsbzLw5qcwImQTO8JbKKDb3HDNOJPVm5CIdrxtU3YhpdadwsKt89JuCgRLwbqemVJ-lOrM1HknkUiWDxHnPisKmbsTJI-AXAmEbtpVlNhiVxIFDUnnwsiwI4E873FVg3p5Gqvvk"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhYCilFFOj9VxO9Ac8baSaqMWSD50aGBJrS7d-kvGoOIIGM2grmhx4xKsbzLw5qcwImQTO8JbKKDb3HDNOJPVm5CIdrxtU3YhpdadwsKt89JuCgRLwbqemVJ-lOrM1HknkUiWDxHnPisKmbsTJI-AXAmEbtpVlNhiVxIFDUnnwsiwI4E873FVg3p5Gqvvk=s320" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_7301053057263491906" /></a></p><div dir="auto">For those who have not visited our new store as of yet, these are some of the rings i have posted. The use of magick, and those that wish ill will on people. I havnt oracticed magick in many years, I've hidden it though its a natural part of me. I became a christian and dont nessesarily agree with the religion people have pushed. That being said, im not affraid to send things back to some one and bind them out from ever doing it to some one again for attacking me. This is now at least twice this year that some one has done such to me. This time it was a difficult decision because it is mostlikely some one close to me that has done so. Most of the magick I have performed Infound easier to do in an alternate place, the astral they call it. Its natural for me to slip into that state due to being there so often in the past. Anyways, last night i had to send some of that negative back and binded that person so it could not be done again. This doesnt so much break it but sends it back to the owner.Whysprshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08213990082521840661noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3116178834530380293.post-4804862064125277382023-07-24T11:25:00.001-05:002023-07-24T11:25:56.054-05:00Ever have one of th9se day?<p>You know one if the ones that nothing goes right and anything and everything that can go wrong does? That was today. Scheduled a day at ine of my regular clients and only expected to be there about 3 hours and not be that hard of a day.</p><p>Started out I went in and we discussed the things I needed to do and what was on the agenda. Wasnt a big deal, switch out a busted water hose, cut a limb that had fallen and remove it, trim some limbs that hang down far enough that are hitting the top of the car as you drive down the driveway, mow and weed eat.</p><p>Boy was I wrong..</p><p>Started the mower just fine, drove it out towards the truck so I could see in the tank and it looked like it had gas in it, which it looked like it had gas in it and thought i could mow the front end and then fill it up when i got back to the house. Nope, I was wrong. Got two thirds mowed by the street when the mower died.</p><p><br></p><p>The walk up the driveway from where the mower died was about the length of 2 or 3 city blocks. I was hobbling most the way from my foot and knee still hurting from the weekend.</p><p><br></p><p>I got the gas can and put it and the weed eater in the golf cart and drove back down to the mower to refill the gas.</p><p><br></p><p>Guess what still didn’t start? The mower, aparently the starter went out and I killed the battery trying to start it. So I went ahead and started weed eating. Got the entire front end on the one side finished. Pulled the battery and loaded it back up into the golf cart and drove it back to house to charge it.</p><p><br></p><p>Went inside and told my client about what happened and that inwas going to charge the battery while I cut up the limb.</p><p><br></p><p>She told me to use the chainsaw and that it should be good because it had just had a tune up a few years ago and hasnt been used since. I checked the oil and filled the gas tank, primed the motor and attempted to start it. It started but would not stay running.</p><p><br></p><p>Inwas already a bit tired from doing the weed eating, so i took the chainsaw back to the shed and put it up, and dug through my tool box to get to my saw zaw. Pulled out my long extension cord and plugged it in and proceeded to cut up this fairly big limb.</p><p><br></p><p>I backed up the truck but couldnt get it that close so had to walk these shorter chunks of wood that was still kinda heavy and loaded up my truck. After loaded I pulled my truck back forward and trimmed those low hanging limbs.</p><p>Wound up my cord and put my saw away, loaded up the battery back into the golf cart and my car battery jumper and drive back down to the mower. It still wouldnt start and apparently the battery didn’t charge. I used the jumper and got it to finally fire up by shorting the solenoid. But didnt stay running.</p><p><br></p><p>I drive back to house and the lady that helps with cleaning inside the house was just getting ready to leave and asked me what was going on. I told her I have to go tow the mower back to the house. She wanted to help by steering.</p><p><br></p><p>Guess where my straps were? In my tiredness and not expecting to have to tow the mower back, I had covered them up with the cut up logs. I dug through and found them and put them on top for easy access when I got to the mower.</p><p><br></p><p>I drove down to the mower and the lady was already there and looking at the mower. So i backed up to it and started attaching the straps. Went to the back and disengaged the drive mechanism which is supposed to basicly have it in neutral for towing. She got in the seat and I showed her to keep the handles in neutral. It didn’t engage but I didn’t know that at the time.</p><p><br></p><p>I started to pull forward and pulled it into the road, but since I didnt know it had not engaged into neutral, the back tires were locked and I left ruts in the dirt. The one end of the strap pulled free when the mower hit the road due to the extra resistance.</p><p><br></p><p>At this point I was frustrated but had an idea. I pulled out the jumper, raised the seat of the mower, connected it to the battery and then put it neutral. There was a sound that of it engaging, so I disconnected the battery and booster and listened for it to disengage. It didn’t so I was in luck, the mower was now locked into neutral</p><p>I started to pull forward and pulled it into the road, but since I didnt know it had not engaged into neutral, the back tires were locked and I left ruts in the dirt. When we got there I unhooked it from the truck and then and I pulled it the rest of the way and into the shed about 50 feet away. The lady kept telling me that she couldn’t believe i knew how to do all this and wanted to know how I knew to do things. I told her it was growing up fixing things and all was pretty much trial and error back then.</p><p><br></p><p>My client at this time was upset and scared that something happened to me because we had towed the mower back, I explained to her what was going on and she could tell I was tired. She told me I sould go home and get some rest. Wanted to know what she owed me for the work I did and I told her then told me to go home and rest and call in the next few days.</p><p><br></p><p>After I left I needed to go to the store and get food for Barbie (to see pic of her you can look at my post “pets“). I went in and bought what I needed and a few other things and came back to the truck. Unlocked the passenger door and loaded the items into the truck, shut and lock the door and then went to the driver side. I aparently had also tossed my heys up on the seat and didnt realise it. I was locked out.</p><p><br></p><p>I still made it home, woke up today hurting like hell but I survived.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>Whysprshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08213990082521840661noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3116178834530380293.post-40666358233590196182023-07-16T15:33:00.001-05:002023-07-16T15:33:10.204-05:00words of warning.<div>Magick (note the k) a form of occult practice that has become popular again since the "great awakening" from back in the 50s. The words of warning I want to give is that those who are only adept, should be extremely careful in how they handle things. Emotions are strong power as is words and ceremonial repetition, and things come back to you more often than not. There are things one should not play with out there. I often have been asked in the past for love, curses, and many many more types of magick. Everything has balance and you really have to be careful to offset that balance. Along with that, images in your mind also play a part in that you can hold an image there and make it so. This being said, if you are throwing a spell out and suddenly think of some one else, guess what happens? It gets sent to the wrong person or to multiple people. <br></div><div>Yes magick can be dangerous, but it can be a blessing as well. It is not inherently evil as so many people have said in the past, and its not inherently good either. It is a balance, and those who use it have to be weary of the responsibility of doing such.. </div>Whysprshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08213990082521840661noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3116178834530380293.post-27145457783580908052023-07-11T13:02:00.001-05:002023-07-11T13:02:53.429-05:00resupplyGot to head to hobby lobby today and resuply on leather supplies as well jewlery supplies to make more stitch markers. <div>Most of the time as of late, i have been making bracelets with beads and thread attached to leather straps. With this type of work you run into all kinds of crazy, rather it be a possible client that refuses to pay or opening up a water heater closet to find theres no floor and its held up with straps and nailed to the wall.I started out doing just yard work and debris removal and then started getting asked about other things as well. In the begining, I didnt really have many tools other than what I needed to work on my car plus a hammer and hand saw. Now I have an entire tool chest that is packed full and I carry around with me all the time, plus several pneumatics and odd tools that I keep in a shed as well because it wont fit in the chest.I originally did it as a part time job right after my divorce for extra money that my full time job didn’t provide. I would take along my girlfriend at the time and her son with me, I would pay him for the help but only if he actually did work. It gave him a really good work ethic that he shows to this day.A few years in and I had a call from a local lawyer who also gave me business pointers and actually helped me a lot. The work I did for him was more of janitorial services for the most part in his offices. It was one of the oldest buildings in my town, built back in the late 1800s. Later he had me working at his home as well and had to use him as my lawyer to get my workmans comp claim to actually pay my medical bills when I got hurt at work. After I had gotten hurt at work and was able to walk again, I still had issues doing the work that I was doing normally. It was hard work, tossing 50 lb bags of feed almost daily all day long.Anyways, I left there and went full time as a handyman. It can be scary at times not knowing when the next call is going to come for you to make money to pay your bills or buy food. Its always feast or famine unless you have savings. I learned this lesson a few years ago. I had landed this big contract that I knew could end at any time but I took it anyways and quit another job that I had taken when there was no calls. It paid enough that I had paid up the mortgage for 6 months as well as the other bills. At the end of that 6 months I had gotten a few calls but they ended up not paying, normally I wouldn’t have worried about it so much but it was at the end of that 6 months and the mortgage was coming due.I chased down the company that owed me money but they soon changed thier phone number and it was like the company no longer existed. It was a corporate account from a maintenance outfit based out of Florida and I’m in Illinois. The amount would not have been worth the court fees to sue them because it would have cost more than it was worth. It did however cause me to loose our home. This was the fall prior to covid hitting. Thats when I built our tiny on wheels and that is where we are now.<div>#handyman #oddsandends</div>Whysprshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08213990082521840661noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3116178834530380293.post-72161121726921836902023-07-02T18:13:00.001-05:002023-07-02T18:13:17.098-05:00A glimpse into our life<header class="entry-header"><div class="entry-meta"><span class="posted-on"><a href="https://dailywhysprs.wordpress.com/2023/07/02/a-little-bit-of-how-we-do-things/" rel="bookmark"><time class="entry-date published" datetime="2023-07-02T12:53:08-05:00">JULY 2, 2023</time></a></span><span class="byline"><span class="author vcard"><span class="sep"> ~ </span><a class="url fn n" href="https://dailywhysprs.wordpress.com/author/dailywhysprs/">WHYSPRS</a></span></span></div></header><div class="entry-content"><p>As I’ve stated before we are semi offgrid, we tend to use coolers to keep our food cool and can be difficult more in the summer than winter. You will want a good cooler to do this and yes they can be expensive but it is a good investment. The one we chose is the <mark class="has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color"><a href="https://amzn.to/3XBmytp">Lifetime 55 quart</a></mark> cooler. We chose it because it has flip tabs instead of having to pull the big rubber pieces up which is hard to do in the winter.</p><p>We keep ours outside due to the limited space inside, so you will want to have it in an accessable area and in the shade. Instead of buying ice all the time, you may want to invest in a freezer with solar set up. A freezer doesnt usually use power as much as you would expect and about a 100 watt system with a single car battery should work fine. Just make sure that you have enough amp output for the peak which is when the compressor first kicks on.</p><p>With our cook stove, we went with the <mark class="has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color"><a href="https://amzn.to/46jrQ0n">camp chef</a></mark>, which is a propane stove and has its own oven in case we decide to bake things. We have been using it for about 3 years now and can say it does very well. It has 2 large burners on top, and 2 oven racks inside the oven which can fit up to a 12 inch pizza.</p><p>Our toilet is a chem toilet but I am seriously thinking about going back to a composting toilet with a urine diverter. They do work very well and you dont have to continue to purchase the chemicals which prevents the feces from breaking down. Considering the majority of the contents of a toilet ends up being liquid, it would save trips to a dump station for the chem toilet where as with a composting toilet you can either compost the waste, burn it or have it hauled away with the trash depending in the local laws.</p><p>We do have a single light in the house, a <mark class="has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color"><a href="https://amzn.to/3pwvjbz">fan</a></mark> and now an air conditioner in our house. As for heat I am using a <mark class="has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color"><a href="https://amzn.to/439VRNq">buddy heater</a></mark> which sometimes is too hot in the winter, so its not used a lot but is also hooked up to a 20 lb propane tank.</p><p>#offgrid #tinyhouse #lifestyle</p></div>Whysprshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08213990082521840661noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3116178834530380293.post-38860733561823126312023-07-01T11:00:00.000-05:002023-07-01T11:00:43.087-05:00Playin cbg p2<div>This is an old post. Aparently it was notes taken from someone I had met on facebook at the time as with the previous post about cigar box guitars.</div><div><br></div>Playing Cigar Box Guitar - Part 2<br>
I find GDG /151 tuning good for single note work, double stops, walking bass lines, shuffle rhythms, alternating bass, and bottleneck slide. It leads to an early rural country blues Delta tone. Although you can certainly strum chords, the string intervals of this tuning are not the best for creating a consistent Moveable Chord Method.<br>
Using GDG, I can easily retune to ADF#. Not only changing the string intervals, but the key too. From G to D. This tuning creates an opportunity to play chords very similar to the method used on a standard 6 string guitar. Here is one example of how I utilize it: http://youtu.be/DAlIUpR12LY<br>

<p>Most folk, blues, gospel, and rock & roll songs are played in the common keys of C A G E D. They are all relative to each other. Each has a Major Scale that contains 8 notes (octave) A popular approach is to tune to the key of G. 1-G 2-A 3-B 4-C 5-D 6-E 7-F# 8-G</p>
<p>Here are 4 suggested tunings:</p>
<p>GDG / DGB / GDGB / DGBD</p>
<p>Here is an example of GDG tuning. Notice notes 151 from the G Major Scale are used to create this tuning. Use string strings: A (.045) D (.035) G (.026)</p>

I remember once several years ago when we had the one tiny house, we had an outside kitchen that I had built. We went through several stoves until I had bought one I found in the local news paper ads. The oven didnt work on it and our son wanted pizza. We couldnt make a pizza until we had a working oven and this one did the trick.<div><br></div><div>You may want to purchase a separate oven <a href="https://amzn.to/43ZbubM">thermometer</a> because sometimes the one that is built-in can get to where it doesnt work over the years, plus it will give you a better reading from inside the oven. Temperatures can vary depending on your fire, rather it is under it or if you put briquets in a pie plate and set inside it as I have also done before.</div><div><br></div><div>Once you get using this type of oven and you learn how to keep the heat at the temperature that you want, you shouldnt have any problems and will only be limited to the 10″ size of the oven.</div>Whysprshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08213990082521840661noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3116178834530380293.post-50271651151021491112023-06-25T12:25:00.002-05:002023-06-25T14:32:38.232-05:00things I know bestI know a bit about a lot of things but there are a few things I know quite a bit about. Fishing, camping, simple get arounds for daily things (aka life hacks), and basic old school business (the new type I cant exactly wrap my head around that well). So my guess is just that I need to take you on a journey of things I do know as I try and wrap my head around things. My mind likes to be scattered at times because thats just how it works I guess. <b>So let us begin again.</b><div><div>I am Brad, but I am known by many other names. Whysprs was one that I started using many years ago back when I was in college due to I had a tendency to get into trouble whispering to the student that was next to me when he would ask me a question about things being said. So after a while I transliterated it from whispers to whysprs. It became my screen name across the college so that the other students in my tech classes would know that it was me since most of them only called me whispers due to the interruptions of the instructor calling me out.</div><div><b>Now you know the story of the name so lets move on.</b></div><div>Since I was a kid, I always yad an interest in camping, fishing, hunting and living off the land. That being said I incorporated a lot of it together and anything I could learn from about it, I would consume the information, use what is useful and works and then discard that which didnt work. </div></div><div><b>To be contiuned....</b></div><div><b><br></b></div>Whysprshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08213990082521840661noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3116178834530380293.post-18912930599891441212023-06-24T18:30:00.001-05:002023-06-24T18:30:35.176-05:00Mush<header class="entry-header"><h1 class="entry-title"><br></h1><div class="entry-meta"><span class="posted-on"><a href="https://im49a0c9f40a374.wordpress.com/2023/06/24/mush/" rel="bookmark"><time class="entry-date published" datetime="2023-06-24T14:17:21-05:00">JUNE 24, 2023</time></a></span><span class="byline"><span class="author vcard"><span class="sep"> ~ </span><a class="url fn n" href="https://im49a0c9f40a374.wordpress.com/author/dailywhysprs/">WHYSPRS</a></span></span></div></header><div class="entry-content"><figure class="wp-block-pullquote"><blockquote><p>Which food, when you eat it, instantly transports you to childhood?</p></blockquote></figure><p>I know it doesnt sound ideal, but I grew up with a mom that was raised not long after the depression. We wasnt rich but we wasnt not poor either, about 90% of my parents earnings went back into our family business.</p><p>Every morning, mostly in winter but also on other cold days. After waking up and getting dressed, I was handed a large cup usually that was filled with a drink of liquid corn meal mush. It was usually mom that would make it and was cooked with a bit of bacon grease or butter and sugar, then added milk to thin it out and cool it enough to drink during the wait for the bus. Having mush always takes me back to the times of those cold mornings of holding my mush in one hand, a cup of coffee in the other and heavy backpack on my back while waiting in the cold just before daylight for the bus.</p><p>I still eat mush every now and again and always use butter and sugar instead of the bacon grease. My wife was recently introduced to it by me one morning and she couldnt believe she hadnt had it before.. lol</p></div>Whysprshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08213990082521840661noreply@blogger.com0
