Your Identity In Christ Day 14 of 30 Our Blessings For God's Glory

Our Blessings For God's Glory

Our purpose in Christ is to worship God and enjoy him eternally.

Why does God bless us? So we can make a big deal about how great we are? Or does He bless us so that He will be made great?

The entire point of God's blessing is His glory. God blesses us with every spiritual blessing in Christ so that we may enjoy and glorify Him forever. This means that our purpose in Christ is to worship God and enjoy Him eternally.

Read Ephesians 1:6, 12, 14

According to verse 6, what is the purpose of God's blessings? (To bring praise for His glorious grace.)

What is the purpose of God's blessings as found in verses 12 and 14? (To elicit the praise of His glory.)

Discuss what it looks like to live a life of purpose in Christ for God's glory and your enjoyment.

Ephesians 1:11-14 NKJV

11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, 12 that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.

13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.
