Brads Beef Stew

This recipe only makes about 4 servings and there isn't ever anything left and really doesn't cost that much.

About 1-3 lbs meat
About 1 cup onion chopped
About 2 ribs of celery
About 4-5 mushrooms (either baby bella or whitecaps)
Whatever veggies you want to use. I like to use a lot of different veggies so I either use 1 squash or zucchini, half a head of broccoli or cauliflower, 1 cup beans (either green, lima, chic peas, or mixed), carrots, bell pepper, and any other fresh veggies I may have available.   Or use a single package of mixed vegetables. I prefer the mixed Italian for this recipe.
4 - 5 leaves of cabbage chopped
1 Tbs butter
1/2 Tbs black pepper
2 Tbs garlic powder
2 Tbs salt
Water
1/4 cup heavy cream

In a large pot heat on medium high heat add butter as it melts add meat and onions, let sear and brown.

Add just enough water to cover meat and add spices and cabbage and celery.

Bring to boil then turn down to low and cover let simmer (about 20 - 30 mins) stir about every 5 mins and add water to keep just above meat.

When meat has become tender add the rest of the vegetables. Bring back to boil. Turn down heat, cover and let simmer until carrots are tender.

Scoot vegetables over to have liquid available, add cream slowly while stirring. Bring back up to heat and blend with meat and vegetables.

Remove from heat and let stand about 5 mins

Enjoy.
